MES focuses on four Main Strategies, namely Health, Housing, Basic Care & Social Support and Training, Education & Job Creation. These strategies are implemented through six Developmental programmes:

1. Community Care (families, elderly, housing)
2. Entuthukweni (training)
3. Joshua Youth Development & Service (youth)
4. MES Impilo (health & HIV/AIDS)
5. Othandweni (street children/youth)
6. Roly Poly (creche)
